S.K.J. Law College is committed to a safe and inclusive campus.
Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited. Any student found involved in ragging or abetting ragging shall be subject to disciplinary and legal action in accordance with applicable UGC regulations and law.

What is Ragging?
Ragging refers to any act that causes physical or psychological harm or apprehension to a student. It includes teasing, abuse, causing harm, and any form of humiliation or harassment.

Legal Consequences

Ragging is a criminal offence under Indian law. Those found guilty may face severe consequences, including imprisonment, fines, and expulsion from the institution.

The College adheres to the directives of the Supreme Court of India and applicable UGC regulations on anti-ragging.

As per the notification in regard to prevention and prohibition of ragging in the University and UGC Act, the committee has been constituted to prohibit, prevent and eliminate the scourge of ragging, including any conduct by any student or students, whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student.

The committee also addresses unfair means or undisciplined activities by any student or students which cause or are likely to cause annoyance, hardship, psychological harm, fear or apprehension.

Ragging is totally banned in the College and anyone found guilty of ragging and/or abetting ragging is liable to be punished, as it is a criminal offence.

In light of the provisions laid down in the UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009, the Anti-Ragging Committee is constituted to ensure effective prevention, monitoring and redressal of ragging-related incidents.

02. Conduct workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns for students and staff.
03. Receive complaints of ragging in writing, email, or online.
04. Investigate complaints and take appropriate action as per college rules and UGC regulations.
05. Maintain records of complaints, actions taken, and follow-up.

The college strictly adheres to the anti-ragging policy, which prohibits any form of ragging, harassment, or humiliation of students. Any violation may result in disciplinary action, including suspension, expulsion, or legal action as per applicable UGC guidelines.

The College provides support and counseling services for victims of ragging. Students are encouraged to seek help and report any incidents without fear of retaliation.
